We’re doing this through a combination of deep utility and intense scarcity. POLYCUB is designed to be a utility token at its core with the primary utility being control over the yield dynamics of the platform. Owning more POLYCUB gives you more power to determine the flow of rewards for the various yield vaults on the platform. The other major utility of POLYCUB is its use as the base asset in our vaults. Using POLYCUB as the settlement asset against all the major vault pairs is a feature inspired by a DeFi platform called Thorchain.
Governance
At the core of PolyCUB is Governance. This is where the vast majority of utility for the POLYCUB token is derived. Users gain Governance Power by staking POLYCUB into xPOLYCUB or by locking xPOLYCUB into vexPOLYCUB to further amplify their Governance Power.
Token Supply & Emission
PolyCUB (POLYCUB) is the native token for the PolyCUB yield platform. Users can earn POLYCUB by participating in any of the Farms, Kingdom vaults or by staking xPOLYCUB to earn the 50% fee penalty generated by other farmers who harvest their yield before the 30 day locking period.

Just as our community has existed for many years and proven itself as one of the most ambitious, organized and diamond-pawed groups in the crypto space, so too do our tokenomics derive from proven mechanics and existing platforms that operate in this space.

PolyCUB’s V2 Vault model utilizes our multi-token bridged asset model to generate value accrual for the protocol in 5 ways:
- insert_hive_asset (i.e. pHIVE or pSPS, etc.) – held as 1:1 collateral for the wrapped equivalent – staked on native platform (i.e. HIVE POWER or SPS staking on splinterlands.com) = value accrual for PolyCUB’s PoL
- insert_hive_asset 0.25% wrap and unwrap fee = value accrual for PolyCUB’s PoL
- insert_hive_asset cross-chain arbitrage = value accrual for PolyCUB’s PoL
- insert_hive_asset-POLYCUB = utility for people to buy POLYCUB to LP against – their insert_hive_asset = value accrual for PolyCUB’s PoL
- insert_hive_asset-POLYCUB holders need to buy more POLYCUB to stake as xPOLYCUB to control governance and drive insert_hive_asset-POLYCUB vault yield higher
