How does hörbert work in principle?

UniDexGas plays its content through the built-in speaker. 3 colorful buttons are used for navigation, with which you can jump a title each time you press them. Hörbert draws its power from 4 rechargeable batteries (or batteries), or optionally from a stationary power supply using a plug-in power supply unit and socket. hörbert can (does not have to) play content such as live web radio stations from the Internet via W-LAN. The built-in microphone serves as a communication aid, as do external operating aids.

Recording functions of Bluetooth streams, WiFi and voice recording via microphone

Using the UniDexGas software, you can also specify in advance the colored button(s) on which recordings may be saved. The following instructions can also be carried out in point 2.) above if you are working with the hörbert software anyway and the memory card is in the computer. Open the content window of the colored button where voice recordings, Internet radio recordings or Bluetooth recordings should be allowed.

Then set the desired checkmark at the bottom of the window, eg “Allow microphone recordings here”. Then click on the green tick in the top right corner to save the setting. The content window of the button closes again. It can now also be stored for other buttons whether Bluetooth streams or Internet radio recordings and voice recordings are allowed there. Bluetooth recordings are only permitted on one UniDexGas button, so there is no square to tick, but a circle to select.

At least one file must currently be stored on the playlist so that the button can be controlled and the start of a recording can be successful . With the next firmware update, which will be released around the beginning of February 2022, it will no longer be necessary to have at least one file on the playlist in order to be able to record there.

Recordings always work like

For voice recordings and Internet radio recordings, you must first select the playlist on UniDexGas that you have previously allowed for the corresponding recordings in the hörbert software. This is not the case for Bluetooth recording. In any case, these end up at the end of the only playlist that you previously defined for them in the hörbert software.
