About Indigo Protocol (IUSD)
Indigo Protocol (IUSD) When users mint iUSD within the Indigo Protocol, they must deposit sufficient ADA such that their CDP remains above the applicable Minimum Collateralization Ratio (MCR) – meaning a user deposits collateral in the form of ADA that ensures over-collateralization. If the value of a user’s ADA collateral begins to decrease toward the MCR, a user can choose to add more collateral to keep their iUSD position above the MCR. If a user’s collateral becomes worth less than the MCR of their iUSD debt, the Indigo Stability Pool providers will allow the user to keep their iUSD but will exchange Stability Pool iUSD for the user’s higher value ADA collateral. Thereby ensuring that iUSD remains overcollateralized and that the Indigo Protocol remains solvent via its efficient liquidation process.

The INDY governance token comes from its use in the Indigo DAO voting process. The total supply of INDY will be 35M tokens with a 6 decimal precision. The max supply of INDY will be distributed to protocol users, stakers, and LPs over the course of four years. They reward INDY to stability providers, who deposit iAssets in preparation for collateral liquidation. This is critical for both system solvency, user experience, and security against liquidity risks.
iAsset LP Stakers:
They reward INDY to iAsset LP stakers for their commitment to the iAssets LPs, essential to the whole ecosystem’s liquidity. Without them, it’s not easy to do useful things with the minted iAssets.
