What Is Zilliqa.com?
Zilliqa.com is a public, permission less blockchain that is designed to offer high throughput with the ability to complete thousands of transactions per second. It seeks to solve the issue of blockchain scalability and speed by employing sharding as a second-layer scaling solution. The platform is home to many decentralized applications, and as of October 2020, it also allows for staking and yield farming. Development work officially started on in June 2017, and its testnet went live in March 2018. A little over a year later, in June 2019, the platform launched its mainnet. The native utility token of ZIL, is used to process transactions on the network and execute smart contracts.

Feature
Scalable
Zilliqa Coin Solves the prevailing issue of scalability using its own unique sharding technique, which allows the blockchain to scale in a linear fashion as the network grows in size. Its ability to handle a large volume of transactions makes it suitable to meet enterprise needs..
Scalablity
can handle higher traffic volumes while maintaining strong security and decentralization.
Low Fees
Transaction costs are exceptionally low in comparison to other blockchain platforms.
Security
Build a safe smart contract by leveraging Siliqua’s safe-by-design language Scilla.
Dev Tooling
Siliqua offers a rich array of tools for developers to write contracts and test them.
Secure
Addition to using well-studied and established mechanisms to validate transactions, is powered by the first peer-reviewed and safe-by-design smart contract language called Scilla. This programming language addresses several known security vulnerabilities that are still prevalent in other languages.
Decentralised
Zilliqa.com Utilising its subdivided networks, able to process transactions in a decentralized manner without a trusted coordinator. Its network architecture allows the platform to remain decentralised as it continues to grow and expand.
Exchange
$ZIL is the token that powers the blockchain. The tokens can be used for smart contract execution, to reward miners, to cover transaction fees, and more.
Tools and Resources
Developer tools and resources that make the process of developing dapps faster, easier, and more secure.
Neo Savant IDE
Zilliqa Coin A new version of the standalone web-based IDE that allows you to quickly write and test Scilla contracts in a simulated blockchain environment, deploy smart contracts to the Testnet and Mainnet, and contains useful tools like unit calculator and address convertor.
Zilliqa-JS Library
A JavaScript library to interact with the network nodes – create wallets, deploy contracts, and invoke transitions to interact with smart contracts.
GoZilliqa Library
A Golang library to interact with the network nodes – create wallets, deploy contracts, and invoke transitions to interact with smart contracts
API Documentation
JSON-RPC APIs for developing dapps
Explorer
Zilliqa.com Explorer allows you to search the blockchain for transactions, addresses, tokens, and check network statistics.
Testnet Wallet and Faucet
The testnet wallet allows developers to create accounts, transfer $ZIL, and request $ZIL from the wallet’s faucet.
Projects
Zilliqa Coin core infrastructure is composed of the network and the consensus layer. they are constantly refactoring this infrastructure to improve modularity, maintainability, robustness, scalability, and latency. Through the addition of new features such as staking and privacy, they aim to create broader value for users in the near future.
Improving robustness
Making the protocol more resilient and robust.
Efficient backend for persistent storage
Makes reading and writing of smart contract states faster.
Decentralization of storage layer
improving the storage layer for historical data.
System fuzzing
Testing of the system to detect potential bugs.
Efficient smart contract sharding
Zilliqa.com Leveraging certain properties of smart contracts for more efficient processing.
Support for zk-SNARKS
Adding privacy features to Zilliqa.
Cross-chain solutions
Making Zilliqa interoperable.
Staking mechanisms
Zilliqa Coin Using staking to facilitate and incentivise certain actors in the protocol.
Layer 2
Building a state channel infrastructure or an off-chain computing layer.
