About Yield Yak AVAX
Yield Yak is largely self-sustaining. Your community compounds rewards, suggests new strategies, proposes key configuration updates and contributes to development. Yield Yak farms can run forever, without the team’s involvement. Yield Yak is a community-driven project. Your community has built and maintained the best, cheapest and most diverse autocompounder on the market. Yield Yak smart contracts are unaudited. Yield Yak relies on smart contracts from other platforms which may also be unaudited.
Any funds lost by other platforms will affect Yield Yak users. Many defi protocols pay rewards to users in the form of tokens (farming rewards). Farmers who claim rewards often and compound their deposits maximize their rewards and farming yield. Yield Yak helps all farmers earn more yield by pooling assets and socializing the costs of compounding. This means much more frequent compounding, which happens automatically.

Who Are The Founders of Yield Yak AVAX
……………………………………………………………?
Reduce Variance on Reward Asset Prices
Popular Yield Yak farms compound every few minutes or hours. Reward tokens are converted into deposit tokens on behalf of all users in the pool many times per day, providing users with a blended price exposure to reward assets. A farmer stakes $50 of LP tokens into a farm. The farmer receives rewards worth 0.05 AVAX per day. That means, on average, the farmer only generates enough value from claimed rewards to pay the gas costs by waiting for days or weeks.
During this period where the farmer is waiting for the rewards to be worth claiming and compounding, they are at risk of the reward asset price shifting. Farmers who use Yield Yak instead, will earn the average price for rewards over the period while enjoying compounding effects on their deposits. If you are comparing returns to other sites, consider that different sites use different methodologies. Some estimate returns with inaccurate and static assumptions about blocks per day, reward asset price, etc.
Returns Based on Deposit Asset Growth
Yield Yak farms are designed to grow the deposit asset. All returns are provided in terms of the deposit asset (LP tokens, usually). Due to impermanent loss and price volatility, deposit assets could grow while the USD value of underlying assets change. Yield Yak farms are protected by a timelock. Timelocks delay the team from making changes or withdrawing funds on behalf of users.
The reinvest button takes all pending rewards from a pool, converts them into the farm asset, and reinvests them back into the pool to compound deposits for everyone in the farm. There is a variable reward to incentivize users to press that button. Whoever is first to press the button, earns the reward and compounds everyone’s deposits.
Transaction cost
The reinvest button is optional. You do not need to press it. However, you might be motivated to press it to earn the reward. If your goal is to net gain in AVAX, then you need to consider the reward token / AVAX price ratio, transaction cost for reinvesting for that particular pool, the transaction cost for swapping the reward token into AVAX, etc. You do not need to participate in the pool to be able to receive the reinvest reward. Anyone pressing the button and completing the transaction will receive the reward. With that in mind, it can be competitive, so be sure to be quick.
Why Choose Yield Yak AVAX?
Even for the same pair of token swap, say buying $YAK using $AVAX, there are many Dex’s on Avalanche to choose. Although the existence of the arbitrage may help converge the price ratio on different Dex’s, there may still be a difference. Yak Swap compares the prices available on most Dex’s and finds out the best one for you.
Price slippage could be viewed as a punishment of reducing the liquidity of to-token in a swap. Usually, a big amount swap in a Dex with low liquidity of the to-token would result in high price slippage and therefore significantly reduce the amount of received token. Yak Swap takes price slippage into account and offers you the best execution route.
