What Is Pavia(PAVIA)?
Pavia In September 1501 Pavia Italy was the birthplace of Gerolamo (Jerome) Cardano, whom the Cardano blockchain project was named after. 2021 sees the launch of Pavia.io which is a metaverse being built on Cardano. It seems fitting to name virtual world Pavia. The first step on the journey through the Pavia.io metaverse is an avatar. Users will be able to customize their avatars almost however they wish.
Pavia creative team are creating v1 avatars in-house and this page gives you an insight into how they are built from scratch. Each starts with a wire frame and then skin, hair and clothing etc. Avatar personalization will be an exciting aspect of the Pavia Metaverse experience, in much the same way all shop for clothes and accessories, can also kit out virtual selves in the latest trends. expect a whole industry catering to avatar fashion.
Pavia team are working hard on interoperability which includes avatars, as such have partnered with readyplayer.me. The link below allows you to create a cross-application avatar which you can use in hundreds of other apps and games as well as the Pavia.io metaverse. As our project develops Avatars will play an ever increasingly important part.

Please remember at this stage in development you cannot visit or deploy any content onto your land parcel. They are working hard to deliver the in-game Pavia experience.

In-Game Experience
Land parcels in the Pavia.io Metaverse are being minted and sold as NFTs on the Cardano Blockchain, as per legal terms we would rather holders not purchase to speculate on a future value, but instead buy digital land with a view to developing their small part of a much larger in-game experience. Any Metaverse works best when the majority of the land owners are engaged and keen to deploy 3d scenes. In Pavia.io these are known as Pavia Compatible Assets (PCAs).
As a project we have observed some significant barriers to entry in other digital realms. One immediate benefit of deploying on Cardano are the lower ‘gas’ fees, but more important is the need for easy to use 3D builders, access to marketplaces with a high quality, diverse collection of 3d PCA scenes and a deployment system which is easy to execute by all users.
