They active or inactive domain names can be deleted from the whois.rotld.ro database if: a) the person who registered the domain requests its deletion; in this case, the person who registered the domain will send a request according to the deletion procedure described at www.rotld.ro, requesting the deletion of the domain name; b) when the registration/reservation of the domain name has not been fully paid; c) following a court decision or a decision from governmental or administrative organizations with authority, as well as in the cases mentioned in art.

Application and Registering

Responsibilities for the field. The one who registers the domain assumes full responsibility for the data filled in the online form. Submitting the online form constitutes a guarantee for ROTLD that the applicant has the right to use the submitted domain name. Hence the requirement that the information provided in the domain name registration form be correct and accurate, and that the applicant be entitled to use the requested domain name. The one who registers the domain will not involve ROTLD in litigation or other damages caused by the use of the respective domain name.

Hosterion does not assume responsibility for verifying the correctness of the data in the online form. Accepting an application and registering a domain name does not mean that ROTLD recognizes that the person who registered the respective domain name has the legal right to use that domain, for example the case of domain names that refer to registered trademarks, company names or well known personalities.

Contact Data

The registration of a domain name only confers the right to use it and any disputes (litigations) between natural or legal persons regarding the right to use a certain name will preferably be resolved first through mediation, arbitration and then through other legal methods, including legal action. Hosterion holder of the right to use the domain is responsible for the legal use of the domain and consequently is the only one authorized to keep the contact data and nameservers up to date – the technical contact person does not have the right to administer the domain.

Domain names are assigned to the holder. If the domain name registration application was completed by another person, authorized by the holder, the holder of the domain name is the beneficiary of the contract between the domain name registrant and the ROTLD. The holder of the domain name complies with the “Rules for registering domains and subdomains in the .ro zone” and the “Registration Contract”, available at www.rotld.ro, section “.ro Domains”.
