What Is Fetch.ai?
Fetch.ai is a world-changing project. An innovative platform for connecting IoT devices and algorithms to enable collective learning. Built on a high throughput sharded ledger, the Fetch.ai architecture delivers a unique smart contract capability to deploy ML/AI solutions for the decentralized problem solving. The open source tools allow users to create diverse eco-structures (ecosystem infrastructures) and deploy new commercial models.
Fetch.ai, a Cambridge-based artificial intelligence lab, is building a decentralized machine learning platform based on a distributed ledger, that enables secure sharing, connection and transactions based on any data globally. Fetch.ai’s network is based around an open-source technology that any user can run to connect to the network, giving access to the power of AI on a world-scale secure dataset, to carry out complex coordination tasks in the modern economy.
Fetch.ai On this network a series of software agents represent and act on behalf of their owners. These autonomous agents work to provide an optimised service across a variety of ecosystems, to the benefit of both suppliers and consumers. This system has wide potential in many areas. Financial services users can optimize trading, public transport networks could be reconfigured, cities could intelligently adapt to usage by their citizens, the gig economy could be restructured, and energy networks can be connected in a smart grid.
Fetch.ai are a dynamic, fast-growing international team of engineers and forward-thinking technology researchers working on the convergence of blockchain, AI and multi-agent systems. they are building technology for both today and tomorrow – a collective super-intelligence on top of decentralized economic internet built with a highly scalable next-generation distributed ledger technology. Combined with machine learning, this delivers the predictions and infrastructure to power the future economy. Developing fascinating and promising new technology, they have a team of top class software engineers and researchers working across multiple fields (multi-agent systems, machine learning, economics, cryptography).
Fetch.ai To further improve the solutions and deploy them in real life scenarios, they also collaborate with top academics and corporate partners across the world . they believe the technology will improve how they communicate, it will give voice and new opportunities to people, organizations and the Internet of Things, effectively democratizing the space and improving the lives of citizens.

Features
Machine Learning
Fetch.ai Blockchain can be used to decentralize federated learning algorithms so that the benefits of these collective machine learning models are shared across the multiple owners of data.
Agents Simple
Fetch.ai development and deployment of autonomous agent populations that fulfill economic goals through strategy, communication, search and the exchange of value.
Cryptography Enhance
Fetch.ai the speed, efficiency and security of the blockchain using next generation multi-party computation (MPC) protocols for random beacons and aggregated signatures.
Build and connect agents to the network
Fetch.ai Using FET Token, you can build and deploy your agent on the network. The process is a little like staking, giving the agent the right to operate in the network.
Train & deploy your agent on Fetch.ai network
Fetch.ai By paying a modest amount of FET tokens, developers can access Machine Learning based utilities to train an autonomous agent and deploy collective intelligence on the network.
Oracles & Trust Services
Fetch.ai Participate in staking to validate network services. Validation nodes are enabled by staking FET tokens. This facilitates network validation and reputation.
The mission
Fetch.ai mission is to build the infrastructure required for autonomous software agents to organize complex tasks to benefit individuals, businesses and organizations. And to enable anyone access to the power of AI with the interoperable decentralized network and open‑source software tools.
Technology
Fetch.ai is building technology to power the machine-to-machine economy. This includes novel blockchain and a generic framework for building off-chain protocols using techniques from multi-agent systems. This agent framework can be used for oracles, interchain transfers, state channels and many other applications and is tightly integrated with the Fetch ledger. The principal goal of the Fetch.ai ecosystem is to deliver a fully autonomous, agent-based digital economy.
Fetch.ai technology stack is built using principles derived from a branch of artificial intelligence known as multi-agent systems. This approach involves solving different problems from the bottom-up by creating individual autonomous software agents that perform actions in the world to accomplish their individual objectives. By combining the actions of multiple agents, it is possible to achieve outcomes that would not be possible with centralized architectures because the environments are too complex, are spatially distributed or involve multiple stakeholders.
Fetch.ai Blockchain technology involves the design of incentives to successfully coordinate the actions of multiple disinterested parties to achieve a common goal, and can already be seen as the world’s most successful implementation of multi-agent systems. Fetch.ai is working to generalise and extend the results from this established research field into new domains in finance, supply chain, mobility, smart cities and IoT applications. The Fetch.ai technology stack involves four distinct elements. These elements include:
- The Agent Framework, which provides modular and reusable components for building multi-agent systems.
- The Open Economic Framework provides search and discovery functions to enable agents to find each other along with peer-to-peer networking tools for routing messages between agents.
- The Agent Metropolis is a collection of smart contracts that run on a WebAssembly (WASM) VM and that maintain an immutable record of agreements between agents and provide a variety of services to support agent applications.
- The Fetch.ai Blockchain combines novel multi-party cryptography and game theory to provide secure, censorship-resistant consensus and other features such as rapid chain-syncing to support agent applications.
