What Is Bitalgo (ALG)?

Bitalgo Annual Percentage Yield, is the normalized representation of an interest rate, based on a compounding period over one year. Note that APYs provided are rather ballpark level indicators and not so much precise future results. Bond Control Variable, is the scaling factor at which bond prices change. A higher BCV means a lower discount for bonders and higher inflation by the protocol. A lower BCV means a higher discount for bonders and lower inflation by the protocol.

Decentralized Autonomous Organization, is a governance mechanism for making decisions in a more trust less and collaborative way. Voting rights are often bound to a governance token. In ICE DAO the governance token is ICE. Deflation Control Variable, is the scaling factor at which protocol defined buy pressure changes. A higher DCV means more buy pressure from the protocol, resulting in a higher deflation. A lower DCV means less buy pressure from the protocol, resulting in a lower deflation.

Liquidity Bonds

Liquidity bonds are LP token bonds. Examples are ICE-MIM LP bonds. Bsc Scan Virtual Machine, is a state machine in which all Bsc Scan accounts and smart contracts live. At any given block in the chain, Bsc Scan has one and only one canonical state, and the EVM is what defines the rules for computing a new valid state from block to block. Protocol Controlled Value, is the amount of funds the treasury owns and controls. The more PCV the better for the protocol and its users.

Reward Rate

Reward rate is the configured percentage of ICE distributed to all stakers on each rebase relative to the total supply. The reward rate is precisely set by the policy team. Reward yield refers to the actual amount of ICE received by each staker on each rebase. The reward yield is a rough target from a policy point of view. It can almost never be maintained precisely due to e.g. fluctuating amounts of ICE staked.

Risk Free Value, is the amount of funds the treasury guarantees to use for backing ICE. Bitalgo Liquidity Provider, is the token received when providing liquidity on PancakeSwap. For instance LP bonds require SLP tokens of the ICE / MIM pair.

TaaS

Treasury as a Service, is the business model of decentralized custody of partnership funds. ICE DAO is designed for TaaS by selling bonds and absorbing partners’ liquidity into its treasury as a result. Total Value Locked, is the dollar amount of all ICE staked in the protocol. This metric is often used as growth or health indicator in DeFi projects.

Time Weighted Average Price, is the average price of an asset over a specified time. TWAPs are used to represent the fair value of an asset as defined by the market. ICE DAO is building a global, deeply community-driven and decentralized economy so Bitalgo can introduce stability and transparency back into financial markets and create financial inclusion for all.

Community-run

Fundamentally, ICE DAO is creating a global and community-owned economy. It can’t be a centrally planned economy and it can’t be an oligopoly that favors the few. They want to lean into decentralized structures because they believe DAOs have unique properties that make them better over centralized organizations in the long term. In this context, Bitalgo want to create a safe and inclusive space that unlocks the maximum potential of ALL humans.

Results-oriented

ICE DAO exists to support projects that bring value to ICE economy. This means they’re intentional and can clearly articulate your vision, goals and roadmap. they’re decentralized but organized. In practice, this means they have just enough structure to align contributors, create accountability and ensure successful execution. They do so by defining the vision, setting clear goals and communicating road map.

Bitalgo Goals and OKRs define calculated steps to reach that vision. High-level goals should be defined by individual teams (marketing, engineering, product, community, policy, etc.) and debated with other teams. Alignment on quarterly goals sets a north compass that everyone can execute toward. Road map defines how the DAO will reach the goals.
